| Phannapast Taychamaythakool (Yoon) is a Thai artist/illustrator who tells her personal stories through her drawings of animal characters and flowers. Phannapast graduated from Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand with a Fashion Design degree. After she graduated, she worked with Thai fashion brands, while at the same time, continuing her love for drawing and handcrafts. After following her dream as an artist, her works was discovered by Alessandro Michele, the creative director of Gucci. Phannapast then started to collaborate with Gucci for many projects including; GucciGram Tian, The Fairy Tale book Le Marché des Merveilles collection, Bloom Acqua di Fiori, DIY sneakers, and Gucci Art Wall in Soho, New York. Phannapast has also collaborated with Instagram to create a work called Stranger In My Garden that talks about the fantasy of an online world. Phannapast’s works always tell the stories of her personal life. She uses different personalities of animals to represent her feelings at the time. Her animal characters are always doing something and telling some stories from their world. Phannapast likes to pay attention to details of the drawings, the colors and the gimmick of a picture. Phannapast often gets her inspiration from her surroundings. This includes her upbringing in a Thai-Chinese family, in which she always passes on the love of her culture into the work. Her recently collaboration were include Sulwhasoo, Sanrio Eu, Nescafé, etc. | |

Art-piece ( 2020 )ลาย “นักรบภาพอักษร” ได้แรงบันดาลใจจากโปสเตอร์ฝึกอ่านเขียนภาษาอังกฤษในวัยเด็กที่ทุกๆคนน่าจะคุ้นเคยกัน กับความสัมพันธ์ในความรู้สึกตอนนี้ที่กลับไปมองโปสเตอร์แผ่นเดิมบนผนัง รู้สึกว่าตัวอักษรแต่ละตัวเป็นจุดเริ่มต้น นำพาเราไปสู่องค์ความรู้ ความบันเทิง เปิดโลกกว้าง และความคิดใหม่ๆ สังเกตุดีๆเหล่าตัวอักษรนี้สร้างสิ่งพิเศษขึ้นเมื่ออยู่ร่วมกัน เลยจินตนาการภาพตัวอักษรแต่ละตัวก็เหมือนนักรบที่หมั่นคอยซ้อมฝึกวิชา เมื่อตัวอักษรหลายๆตัวมาฝึกวิชาร่วมกันก็เกิดสิ่งใหม่ๆ มองไปก็ดูคล้ายความสัมพันธ์ของคนเราเหมือนกัน หากเราเป็นตัวอักษรแค่ตัวเดียวคงไม่สามารถจะสื่อความหมายที่หลากหลาย หรือสร้างสิ่งใหม่ได้เท่าการเชื่อมโยงและสร้างสัมพันธ์ที่ดีร่วมกัน

Art-piece (2019)Moonlight Dive ถูกวาดเป็นภาพนักรบวัยเยาว์ผู้กล้าหาญ ที่กระโดดดําดิ่งลงไปในเงาของตัวเอง เป้าหมายคือค้นหาจิตใจ และจิตวิณญาณที่อยู่ส่วนลึกด้านใน ทุกวันเรารู้สึกและคิดถึงเรื่องราวต่างๆมากมาย ทั้งเรื่องที่ดี และบางเรื่องก็อาจไม่ดี เรื่องที่ถูกใจ ไม่ถูกใจ บางเรื่องเราก็ยอมรับ และบางเรื่องเราก็แกล้งทําเป็นมองไม่เห็น ทั้งหมดที่กล่าวมาก็อาจจะมีสักส่วนหนึ่งทีเข้าไปกระทบตัวตนด้านในของเราจนเสียสมดุล การจัดการกับส่วนลึกในใจนี้ บางทีเหมือนสู้กับสัตว์ประหลาดทีเดียว อย่างน้อยตอนเริ่มต้นเราอาจไม่ต้องคิดถึงผลแพ้ชนะ แค่กล้าลองดําดิ่งลงไปดูว่าพื้นที่ในใจเรามีสภาพแวดล้อมแบบไหน และสัตว์ประหลาดของเราหน้าตาเป็นอย่างไร
The Moonlight Dive is depicted as the brave and young warrior, who plunged into their own shadow. The goal is to find his mind and soul deep down inside. Everyday, we feel and think about a lot of things. Some are good, so we admit. While some are really bad, so we pretend that we can’t see it. All of the above, there might be something that affects and make our inner self become unbalanced. Dealing with your mind deep down seems like fighting with monsters. At least, we might not have to think about winning or losing from the beginning. Just dare to dive into it, and then we will figure out what kind of space inside our mind, and how your monster look like.

Illustration (2020)Sanrio Art Collection project, Phannapast created a hand painted drawing of Hello Kitty celebrating her birthday with the Little Twin Stars, Bad Badtz Maru and Keroppi. These illustrations are available on products like Tote, Art Print and T-Shirt and sold online via Sanrio EU website in a limited edition. Only for a month of Hello Kitty’s birthday.

Oasis
Art-piece (2020) Oasis Wallpaper: An Oasis is a sanctuary in the middle of a desert.The plant and Fu Dog was firstly drawn in 2016 for Jim Thompson under the name ‘Lion of
January’. This was start of my print design on a large scale. Every time I look at this print, I
feel confident that I won't get lost in a desert. This year I drew the plant and Fu Dog again and named it ‘Oasis’ to be a sanctuary of my own. Oasis คือแหล่งพักพิงกลางทะเลทราย ลายพรรณไม้ และ Fu Dog (สิงโตจีน) ถูกวาดขึ้นครั้งแรกในปี 2016 ให้กับทาง Jim Thompson ในชื่อ ‘Lion of January’ ลายนี้เป็นครั้งแรกที่ฉันได้เริ่มวาดลายพิมพ์ขนาดใหญ่ ทุกๆ ครั้งฉันจะให้ลายพิมพ์นี้เป็นเครื่องนำทางเพื่อให้ฉันมั่นใจว่าฉันจะไม่หลงทางกลางทะเลทราย ในปีนี้ฉันได้วาดลายพรรณไม้ และ Fu Dog ขึ้นอีกครั้ง และตั้งชื่อว่า Oasis เพื่อเป็นที่พักพิงกลางทะเลทรายของฉัน
